Folk singer Rence Rapanot moved on to the next round of the country’s most popular and top-trending singing competition, The Voice of the Philippines Season 2, as he wowed the coaches and the viewers during his live show performance with an Eraserheads’ hit song. He was able to top the viewers votes for the Sunday’s episode of the show.

Rence Rapanot of Kamp Kawayan performed the song “Para Sa Masa” popularized by Eraserheads to the delight of the audiences as well as the coaches of the show.
The singing farmer dedicated his song to simple people like him, which also caught the attention of coach Apl.de.Ap who told him that “Talagang pang-masa ‘yung performance na ‘yun. Masarap pakinggan, masayang panoorin, at hindi masasayang ‘yung talent mo ngayong gabi kasi you shined tonight,” apl.de.ap told Rapanot.
Coach Bamboo on his part was quoted as saying that his performance received an “APL” which means “Astig, Panalo, and I Love It.”
Rence Rapanot received 50.78% of viewers votes and will move on to the next round of the competition joining with him are Rita Galvez and Tanya Diaz as part of Kamp Kawayan.
