The Diabolo Brothers “Spyros” was named as the first-ever grand champion of the hit segment in “It’s Showtime” titled “PINASikat” for their extraordinary tricks using the diabolo or Chinese yoyo in the talent competition’s grand finals held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 held at the Ynares Center.
Marc and Marco Betito, the college students and brothers brought home the much coveted P1 million cash and a house and lot from Camella Homes, after showing off their moves in their breathtaking performances that received a standing ovation from judges.
The judges during the grand finals of PINASikat were composed of some of the country’s well-known celebrities which include Zsa Zsa Padilla, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Cruz, Epy Quizon, Nikki Valdez, Myrtle Sarrosa, Bayani Agbayani, Pooh, Arjo Atayde, Meg Imperial, Matt Evans, Abra, Jimmy Bondoc, Bangs Garcia, Arron Villaflor, Dominic Ochoa, Assunta de Rossi, Gino Padilla, Precious Lara Quigaman, and resident judge and host Jhong Hilario.
Aside from impressing the judges of the competition, the young brothers also left the crowd at the Ynares Center roaring and cheering as they got a perfect score of 10 from the audiences.
According to It’s Showtime, the brothers grew up in New York, came home to the Philippines to learn more about Filipino culture and share their talent with their kababayans.
Spyros beat out all the 15 grand finalists from different parts of the country and became the first-ever grand champion of the talent segment “PINASikat,” which already run for a total of five months since its inception a few months ago.
