The reality singing competition “The Voice Kids” in the Philippines was the number 1 TV show in the country in 2014, according to Kantar Media. The top 20 programs was also revealed.
“The Voice Kids” garnered the highest average rating with 34. 5%, making it as the most watched show nationwide in the year 2014. The show run for two months until July and hailed Lyca Gairanod as the grand winner.
The rest of the most watched shows were primetime series from the network giant ABS-CBN, including “Honesto” with 31.7%, “Dyesebel” with 30.1%, “Ikaw Lamang” with 28.4% and “Got To Believe” with 28.3%.
All shows in the Top 20 list of most watched programs in the country either airs on Mondays to Fridays on kapamilya Primetime Bida block or Saturdays and Sundays on Yes! Weekend line-up.
The top 6 was “Hawak Kamay” with 28.1% followed by “Maalaala Mo Kaya” with 28%. “Dream Dad” which was named as the most watched TV program in November last year ranked 8th with 27.% followed by “The Voice of the Philppines” with 27.5% and “Wanspanatym” with 27.1.
Garnering an average nationwide rating of 27%, “TV Patrol” ranked 10th followed by “Forevermore” with 26.8% and “Annaliza” with 22.9 %. “Rated K” placed 13th while ‘The Legal Wife” placed 14h.
“Bagito” was also among the show that completes the top 20 with 22.1% rating followed by “Pure Love” with 21.6%, “Home Sweetie Home” with 21.5%, “Mga Kwento ni Marc Logan” with 21.1 % and “Two Wives” with 20.9%.
According to Kantar Media, ABS-CBN got an average audience share rating of 44% while its rival networks GMA only had 34% and TV5 had 9% in 2014.
