One of the world’s leading travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveller showcased Manila in its latest issue worldwide featuring and suggesting the best places in the city to eat, drink and stay. The magazine’s article titled “Manila on the Rise” described the city as “an Asian megacity with a medieval Spanish Walled town at its heart.”
Conde Nast is considered as one of the most popular travel magazine guide worldwide and being featured in the said publication will surely bring in more tourist to the place they wrote about.
The January 2015 issue of the magazine was also featured on their official website as it suggests the best places in the city to eat, drink and stay.
According to Isobel Diamond, the author of the article describe Manila as “chaotic seedy in parts, with strip joints and dwarf-wrestling clubs but stepped in old-world glamour.”
Some of the places mentioned in the article featuring Manila are the cultural spots to bars, restaurants and shops. The magazine even noted that some places include the speakeasy-style bar Finders Keepers and the coffee shop, The Curator in Makati, the New York-based Filipino restauran Purple Yam in Malate and the reopened Luneta Hotel in Manila.
The magazine also mentioned the Cubao Expo in Quezon City as well as the home and lifestle store Heima in Pasig City.
