Kapamilya teen superstar Kathryn Bernardo will start the New Year celebration of ABS-CBN as she will be featured in the first-ever episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this 2015. The MMK episode of Kathryn Bernardo will be shown this coming Saturday, January 3, 2014 as she portrays the role of a devoted daughter.

ABS-CBN already released the 45-second official trailer of MMK with the 18-year-old actress plays alongside veteran actor Smokey Manaloto and actress Assunta de Rossi.
In the trailer posted by the Kapamilya Channel, Kathryn Bernardo’s character was seen taking care of her mother, who suffered from cancer, while the head of the family his loving father was also suffering from a stroke.
Athough the parents of young star noted that her parents showed less appreciation with her efforts, but Kathryn tried her best not to be affected by the situation they are facing. In one instance, the young actress breaks down in a confrontation with her father, Smokey Manaloto as featured in the trailer.
The award-winning child former child star who transitioned from young actress into portraying more mature roles showcased her acting abilities and she was indeed not just for romantic comedies but also for heavy drama.
Kathryn Bernardo is also preparing right not with her highly anticipated portrayal of the role mastered by Kristine Hermosa, as Yna in the modern-day retelling of the country’s most popular teleserye “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” which will also star her on-screen partner Daniel Padilla.
Daniel Padilla the other half of the popular “KathNiel” tandem will play the role of Angelo, which was formerly portrayed by matinee idol Jericho Rosales. The series will also feature Jodi Sta. Maria as Amor and Angelica Panganiban as Claudia.
