The highly anticipated awarding ceremony of the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival was held on Saturday night as the organizers announced the official list of winners in the 40th edition of the film festival showcasing the best Filipino films for the year 2014. The awarding ceremony was held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on December 27, 2014.

A total of eight official film entries competed for the major awards in the highly anticipated Film Festival, such as the Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director.
The official mainstream category entries includes “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles; Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo; Muslim Magnum .457; The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin; Feng Shui 2; My Big Bossing’s Adventures; Shake, Rattle & Roll XV; and English Only, Please.”
