The former Kapamilya actor and host Edu Manzano has confirmed his return to network giant ABS-CBN, after months of keeping mum about the rumors and speculations.
Edu Manzano, who is popularly known for hosting the game show “Pilipinas, Game KNB?,” said in an interview with ABS-CBN News that he has returned as kapamilya star, adding that he is currently working for his comeback projects which includes a movie and TV series.
“Totoo po ‘yan. Nakabalik na po ako sa ABS-CBN. Currently, may ginagawa akong dalawang proyekto, isang teleserye at isang pelikula na next year pa ipapalabas. Twenty four years ako sa ABS-CBN so parang balik Kapamilya,” he said.
Edu Manzano also said that he is looking forward to work with his son Luis Manzano, who is also working in ABS-CBN. He revealed that they are planning to do a project together but it was not yet finalized.
“Pinag-iisipan ko kung gusto ko siyang makatrabaho. Meron kaming iniisip na project ngayon. As a matter of fact, hopefully matutuloy next year. I look forward to work with my son very much,” he said.
Although his projects are not yet final, Edu Manzano invited the viewers to support his upcoming show and film, which will be released early next year, 2015.
It was on September this year when Kris Aquino announced on the entertainment and news talk show “The Buzz” that Edu Manzano will return to ABS-CBN. The 59-year-old actor left ABS-CBN in 2010 to transfer to another network. He hosted several talk shows on GMA-7 and TV5 network.
