Kapamilya star and showbiz royalty Julia Barretto signed a multi-picture contract with one of the country’s most popular movie outfit, Star Cinema. According to the actress the contract signing with Star Cinema is a dream come true for her as she officially joined the Star Cinema family.
The movie contract of the 17-year-old Julia Barretto also includes her movie debut, “Para Sa Hopeless Romantic,” which will be shown in the year 2015. In the movie debut of Julia Barretto, she will play the role of Maria, the movie is also under Viva Films and Skylight Films which is a subsidiary of Star Cinema.
During an interview with ABS-CBN News, Julia Barretto stated that it is a dream come true for her to join Star Cinema. She was quoted as saying “I am so excited. This has been a dream of mine, to sign under Star Cinema and it’s a multi-picture contract so I’m really really excited,” she said. “My dream projects — as an artist, I have a lot — one of them, siguro I want to do a rom-com since I’m very young also pa. But of course drama also. I want to get to that point as well.” Julia Barreto stated.
Julia Barretto alos noted that she is fortunate enough to be working with Piolo Pascual’s son Iñigo Pascual in her very first movie. Since both celebrities parents came from show business, Julia noted that she and Pascual had something in common.
When the “Mirabella” star was asked by showbiz reporters if who she wants to work with in her future movie projects, Julia Barretto responded that “I am open to working with anybody. That’s how I’m going to grow as an actor myself. Kahit sino okay lang basta may trabaho.” Julia Barretto stated.
Although movie projects are now lined up for the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla, Julia noted that she also hopes to make another television series soon, after the huge success of the teleserye “Mirabella,” where he played the lead role alongside Enrique Gil.
