The kapamilya actress-host, dubbed as the “Queen of Philippine Soap Operas” Judy Ann Santos, hopes to work again with her “Gimik” co-stars Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News, the “I Do” host said she is looking forward on working again with Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, who recently returned to ABS-CBN. She added that she is happy for their comeback.
“Ako looking forward ako na makasama ko ulit siya kasi ang ganda ng memories namin sa ‘Gimik.’ At the same time, masarap ka-trabaho si Jolina and I’m really happy that both of them are back here,” she said.
“Gimik” is a youth-oriented show of kapamilya network which runs from 1996 to 1999. Aside from Judy Ann Santos, Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal, the show also stars Claudine Barretto, Kristine Hermosa, Diether Ocampo, John Lloyd Cruz, Kaye Abad and the late Rico Yan.
The 36-year-old star said she is not sure if the network are planning to make another show the same as “Gimik.” “Nagkaroon na kasi ng ‘Gimik’ reunion pero ewan ko lang kung magka-come up ulit ang ABS-CBN ng isang show like Gimik again,” she said.
Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, who was considered as one of the famous love teams in the ’90s, will return to ABS-CBN through the upcoming TV series “Flordeliza,” under the direction of Wenn V. Deramas.
Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos is currently hosting the child-oriented game show “Bet On Your Baby,” which airs from Monday to Friday on Kapamilya Gold.
