Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima joins the latest online craze, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The Justice Secretary dumped not just one but “two” bucket of ice-cold water.
Sported with her trademark scarf, Leila de Lima sat down before her staff together with the members of the press at the Department of Justice to do the highly popular challenge.
Justice Secretary Leila de Lima nominated Iloilo Rep. Neil Tupas, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and former Senator, now rehabilitation czar Panfilo Lacson to do the challenge within 24 hours.
Nominees must do the challenge or else they will be obliged to donate at least $100 in ALS Association in United states. According to its record, the association has already raised more than $70 million.
The challenge aims to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The widespread online craze was participated by many local and international personalities.
Meanwhile, popular love team KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), It’s Showtime hosts including Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda are a among the Filipino stars who accepted the challenge.
ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is currently gearing up as latest craze on the Internet. Many have accepted the challenge including popular personalities such as former US President George Bush, NBA’s Michael Jordan, members of British boy band One Direction, Taylor Swift and among others.
