Lyca Gairanod, the first-ever winner of The Voice Kids will mark her second acting appearance as she join the cast of ABS-CBN’s top-rating primetime series, “Hawak Kamay.”
The 9-year-old young singer from Tanza, Cavite recently debuted acting via the country’s longest-running drama anthology, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) which previously featured her life story.
Lyca Gairanod will start taping the series this coming Friday, August 22, 2014. She will be doing some scenes with Zaijan Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes, Xyriel Manabat and Yesha Camile and her fellow The Voice Kids grand finalist, Juan Karlos Labajo, who just joined the soap.
Aside from making a teleserye debut, Lyca Gairanod will also venture in big screen. She will star in the sequel of Vie Ganda’s blockbuster movie, “Praybeyt Benjamin 2,” one of the official entries of Metro Manila Film Festival 2014.
Dubbed as “Little Superstar,” Lyca Gairanod is currently gearing up with her upcoming concert with no less than Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha. Darren Espanto, one of “The Voice Kids” runner-up will also join the concert tour which will be held in Cebu, Davao and Baguio.
Lyca Gairanod, the first-ever winner of top-trending Philippine edition of The Voice Kids is also on the stake of making her first solo album courtesy of MCA Universal. She took home a total of P1 million cash prize, House and Lot from Camella Homes, a Home Appliance Showcase, a musical instrument showcase, and P1 million worth of trust fund.
