The actress-comedienne Pokwang became emotional as she remembered her first son Shin on the morning lifestyle show “Kris TV” aired on Monday July 14, 2014. Shin died at the early age of 5 because of brain cancer.

The topic was brought up when one of the guests Florita Chua shared that she was also coping with the loss of her daughter. Pokwang shared also how it was hard for her to live a normal life again after her son died.
“June kasi ako umalis, pero August nung pina-CT scan siya. Doon na nakita. Then September 23 namatay na siya. Pareho kami ni mommy na bigyan mo kami ng lakas ng loob kasi may isang anak pa,” she said.
The “My Illegal Wife” star said that it was not easy for them to celebrate special occasions especially on his son’s birthday and Christmas. She also shared that they came to a point that they do not want to celebrate Christmas anymore.
Pokwang said that until now she is still grieving and though she admitted that she cannot forget the grief of losing a child, she is trying to be strong because she still has a daughter Ria Mae.
In her previous interview, the 43-year-old performer said that it was one of the reasons why she always spends time with her daughter though she have a busy schedule on her work and why she is very protective when it comes to her.
