Actress and current Governor Vilma Santos issued her official statement in the spelling mistake which went viral online for the past few days. The statement was made through a text message to reporter Mario Dumaual of ABS-CBN News.
The 60-year-old Vilma Santos just shrugged off her critics and stated that she would rather focus on her work as the caretaker of the Province of Batangas than to react with her bashers. The actress was quoted as saying “Tomorrow is another day!” she stated.
The Star for All Season added further that “Am sooo fine mario .. Maliit na issue .. Napalaki lang !! Ok lang yan !! Honest mistake !! Hehe ! Tomorrow is another day !! :)) Trabaho lang ako at importante yun …salamat !!” Vilma Santos said.
The controversial wrong spelling mistake of Vilma Santos started when Kris Aquino, considered as one of the most-followed celebrity on Instagram posted a photo of Vilma Santos’ dedication to her alongside the ensaymada. The message of Vilma Santos which contain the word “bless” and “truely” were bashed by some netizens online which caused the viral effect of the post.
Some of Vilma Santos’ closest friends particularly Ai Ai Delas Alas and her former husband Edu Manzano came to the rescue and defended the governor of Batangas for her spelling mistake.
Kris Aquino on her part already apologized to the public servant and Star For All Season, Vilma Santos, considered by many of her followers as one of the icon in the Philippine showbiz industry.
