The Actor-host Edu Manzano defended his former wife, the Batangas governor Vilma Santos, who has been by bashed by netizens online, because of the wrong spelling issue.

It was the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino who first posted the photo in the image-sharing site Instagram showing a box of ensaymadas with a dedication card containing the misspelled word given to her by the Star for All Seasons.
In the letter card, Vilma Santos mistakenly wrote the word “truly” as “truely”, which has eventually become the subject of criticisms in the social media. It also become a viral photo on the internet.
In an interview with Pep.ph, Edu Manzano was confident that the veteran actress can cope with the issue because he said that she is already old enough to handle herself. He also said that it is just a minor issue.
“She’s old enough to take care of herself. Ito yung mga small bumps on the road. I’m sure she’s been through worse,” he said.
According to 58-year-old actor, people should be careful on posting things in the social media and should avoid sharing things that could be misinterpreted by the netizens.
Meanwhile, Kris Aquino has already apologized to Vilma Santos, whom she considers as her idol, for posting the photo. She was quoted saying: “I’m sorry Ate Vi. I did not think about the wrong spelling because what mattered to me was your kindness [and] the thought behind the card.”
