Revilla & Napoles at Sandiganbayan for Arraignment

The two main suspect of the controversial pork barrel scam, Janet Lim-Napoles and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. arrived at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday, June 26, 2014 for the arraignment of graft and plunder charges against them.

According to the Ombudsman Senators Bong Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, and Juan Ponce Enrile are allegedly diverting their Priority Development Fund (PDAF) or more popularly known as pork barrel into the fake NGO’s created by Janet Lim-Napoles.

The accused Senator, Bong Revilla Jr. arrived at the Sandiganbayan First Division at around 7:40 in the morning while the alleged pork barrel queen, Janet Lim-Napoles arrived at around 7:15 AM on Thursday morning.

Aside from Sen. Bong Revilla and Janet Lim-Napoles, other suspects were also summoned for arraignment which includes Sen. Revilla’s aide Richard Cambe. The arraignment of Sen. Revilla, Janet Lim-Napoles and their co-accused were scheduled at around 8:30 AM on June 26, 2014.

Before the arraignment of the high-profile case at Sandiganbayan, PNP Chief Information Officer Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac noted on Wednesday that the PNP mobilized several of their police units in insuring the security and safety of Sen. Revilla, and Richard Cambe who were both detained at the PNP Custodial Center since Friday.

The PNP also stated that aside from securing the perimeter and safety of the accused the PNP also made sure that Janet Lim-Napoles’ travel from Fort Sto. Domingo going to Sandiganbayan are safe and secure.
