Coca-Cola Super Bowl 2014 Ad Features Tagalog Language (Video)

The United States most extravagant sporting event for the year 2014, the Super Bowl XLVIII features some of the world’s most renowned brand, one of them is Coca-Cola which features Tagalog Language on their Super Bowl ad.

The Super Bowl 2014 features the Seattle Seahawks winning the much-coveted National Football League (NFL) trophy against the Denver Broncos with the final score at 48-8.

Millions of viewers worldwide got hooked on their TV sets with the most spectacular American Football game which prompted various brands to post a multi-million ad on TV. According to data from the NFL the cost of 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl is at US$4 million.

One of the world’s leading brand Coca-Cola features a multi-language ad on TV, one of the language used is Tagalog or Filipino in general. The ad was a collaboration between Coca-Cola and Portland’s Wieden + Kennedy. It was produced by Skunk Productions and directed by John Hillcoat.

Aside from the Tagalog language used in the song “America The Beautiful” there are seven other languages featured such as English, Senegalese-French, Hebrew, Mandarin, Keres, Arabic and Spanish.

The Coke Ad during the live telecast of the Super Bowl 2014 highlighted the different colors, lifestyles and origins of the American people. Fil-Am singer Leilani sang the Tagalog lines at 0:16 mark of the Coca-Cola ad.
