Star Cinema’s latest movie offering featuring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, titled “Bride for Rent” continues its theatrical box office income as the move reaches P200-million milestone in nationwide earnings after eight days of showing.
The box office income of Bride for Rent was announced by no less than the lead star of the movie, Kim Chiu on Friday. She was quoted as saying “”Maraming, maraming salamat po! Sobra! Thank you Papa God! Thank you sa lahat ng nanood. Sa lahat ng nakitawa and nakiyak sa amin, maraming, maraming, maraming salamat po,” she said.
The 23-year-old Kim Chiu who portrays Rocky in the movie was so excited with their achievement as she made a post on Instagram expressing her gratitude towards her supporters and fans who already watched the movie.
The P200-million earnings of Bride for Rent was impressive enough compared to the last movie of Kim Chiu and on-screen partner Xian Lim, during the theatrical release of “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?” which earned P100 million in over two weeks.
The romantic comedy movie, Bride for Rent is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz and written by Carmi Raymundo. The movie also features Tirso Cruz III, Dennis Padilla, Matt Evans and Martin del Rosario.
