Mar Roxas and Alfred Romualdez ‘Word War’ Ends

After months of swirling controversies between Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas and Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, finally the “Word War” has ended.

The two politicians recently met up on January 23,2014, Thursday for the Congressional Oversight Committee hearing on the Senate, regarding the response of the government amidst the super typhoon Yolanda aftermath.

“Looking good! Nice to see you again,” Mar Roxas said with cheers greeting Romualdez.  “Sa pagitan naman namin ay makikita naman na yung kapakanan ng mga mamamayan lamang ang siyang nasa isip namin at tinrabaho namin.” Mar Roxas said in an interview.

The controversy sparked after Mayor Romualdez demands for the insurgent needs of Tacloban in the wake of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) last year. Meanwhile in opposition, the tension went out after Mar Roxas requested for legalization of Mayor’s demands for the relief of the victims.

Finally, after months of controversy, the issue between them have been settled as the source confirmed the “Word War” on both parties has ended.
