Knicks, Lakers Remain Most Valuable Teams

New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers, two of the most well-liked ball clubs also emerged as two of the most valuable franchises in all of the NBA as they topped the annual league’s list  published by Forbes on Wednesday.

According to the magazine, the New York for the second straight year took the number one spot, edging LA by a million.

Owing to the renovation of Madison square Garden which increased all-time record of profit of $96 million, Carmelo Anthony-led Knicks team now has a value of $1.4 billion.

Kobe-starred LA Lakers on the other hand have valuation of $1.3 billion despite the payrolls and a luxury-tax bill of $29.3 million this year.

Chicago Bulls, who had league-leading attendance for the past four years, placed third with $1billion worth followed by the Boston which have $875 million and Brooklyn with $780 million worth.

Average franchises on the other hand were only estimated to worth $634 millions far from the value of most average NFL teams which worth one to $1.7 billion.

Quiet noticing though, is that teams on the top five of the list, actually in are currently at below .500.
