PAGASA released their latest update at around 5:00 PM of January 10, 2014, the agency reported that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 1,010 km. East of Southern Mindanao with coordinates at (5.0ºN, 135.0ºE). Northeast Monsoon will affect Northern and Central Luzon.

During the 5:00 AM bulletin of PAGASA the Low Pressure Area was located at around 1,426 kilometers east of Southern Mindanao, for the latest PAGASA update the LPA moves closer to the Philippines.
PAGASA Weather Forecast:
The Regions of CARAGA and Davao will experience cloudy skies with Moderate to Occasionally Heavy Rainshowers and Thunderstorms which may trigger Flashfoods and Landslides.
Visayas and the rest of the Mindano will have Cloudy Skies with Light to Moderate Rainshowers and Thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and the Province of Aurora will be Cloudy with Light rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have Partly Cloudy Skies with Isolated Rainshowers or Thunderstorms.
Moderate to Strong Winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be Moderate to Rough.
