Robin Padilla Best Actor Winner in MMFF 2013 for 10,000 Hours

Veteran action star Robin Padilla won the much-coveted individual award in the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival as Best Actor for his portrayal as the lead character of the MMFF 2013 Best Picture Movie 10,000 Hours.

The 44-year-old Robin Padilla owes his Best Actor award to the director of 10,000 Hours, Joyce Bernal who made the character portrayed by Robin Padilla on 10,000 Hours, the movie which was inspired by the life of former Senator Panfilo Lacson.

According to Robin Padilla right after the awards night of the MMFF 2013 held on Friday at the Meralco Theater, he was not supposed to attend the event but his wife Mariel Rodriguez encouraged him to attend and eventually receive the Best Actor Award.

Robin Padilla also revealed that he could believe for his latest achievement noting that he is against Vice Ganda for the Best Actor category. He also felt nervous going up against Vice Ganda. 

Although Robin Padilla believed that he is up against a worthy opponent for Best Actor, but based upon his experience during the shooting, he thought that he had a chance to beat Vice Ganda for the award.

Robin Padilla revealed to the media that he don’t wish for the Best Actor Award, the only things that he wished for is for the movie to be shown in theaters. He also relate that Sen. Panfilo Lacson was also instrumental in the success of the movie.
