The camp of Makati Mayor Junjun Binay denies the allegations and blasted the Inquirer source for claiming that the mayor uttered the worlds “Hindi mo ba ako kilala?” (Don’t you know me?) to the Dasma guards who refused his convoy to p(–foul word(s) removed–) through the exit gate of Dasma Village.
According to Mayor Binay’s camp statement “This is false and downright malicious. On the contrary, the mayor went down his vehicle and said, ‘Si Mayor Binay ako. Baka pwedeng makiraan lang,'” Binay’s camp said.
The President and head of the security agency (–foul word(s) removed–)igned at Dasma Village Ram Antonio, backed the mayor’s camp claim, saying that his guards never mentioned such an incident happening.
Ram Antonio of Right Eight Security Inc., said: “I don’t know where that came from but definitely that didn’t happen in this incident. I don’t think it happened because if it did, my people would have told me,” Antonio said.
According to Binay’s camp statement as reported by ABS-CBN, the mayor chose to light the vehicle and present himself after one of the guards initially refused to believe that the Makati mayor was part of the convoy.
Binay’s camp also confirmed that Mayor Binay called the police to diffuse the tension. The camp of Mayor Binay also said that the matter.
