Sarah Geronimo Inducted to Anak TV Hall of Fame

Kapamilya star and Viva singer-actress Sarah Geronimo is one of the chosen few who were inducted into the elusive list of Anak TV Hall of Fame. The award-giving body honors programs and stars “worthy of emulation by children.”

The Anak TV awarding ceremony was held at the SGI Auditorium in Quezon City, which saw the induction of Sarah Geronimo and Bernadette Sembrano along with GMA-7’s Jessica Soho, into the Makabata Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame inductees of Anak TV ares those who have consistently topped the annual Anak TV surveys, which have recodnized personalities who are “credible, wholesome and worth emulating by the youth,” in the last seven years.

The Anak TV Hall of Fame awards were presented by Movie and Television Review and Cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Eugenio Villareal, screen veteran Nora Aunor, and award-winning director Brillante Mendoza.

This year, survey winners were dominated by Kapamilya personalities, including Charo Santos-Concio, Anthony Taberna, Coco Martin, Daniel Padilla, Kim Atienza, Noli de Castro, Richard Yap, Ted Failon, Angel Locsin, Jodi Sta. Maria, Judy Ann Santos, Karen Davila and Kathryn Bernardo.

Anak TV recognized on Thursday, December 12, 2013 a total of 101 programs from 10 TV stations as being family-friendly, based on a nine months of evaluation and 20 screening sessions across the Philippines.
