#GiveBackPhilippines Drive Launched by Justin Bieber (Video)

YouTube teen sensation and phenomenal singer Justin Bieber called the attentions of his fans worldwide to come together to help Filipinos who were affected by super typhoon Yolanda that hits the central provinces of the Visayas last November 8, 2013.

The 19-year-old Canadian singer announced on Thursday (Manila Time) that he has partnered with Prizeo.com, an online platform for celebrities to raise money for a cause. He wants to pool donations from his fans for the benefits of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) survivors.

The fundraising project initiated by Justin Bieber is dubbed as “#GiveBackPhilippines.” Bieber also posted an accompanying video on his Prizeo page, addressing his supporters and explaining the mechanics of the fundraising campaign.

Justin Bieber stated:

“The typhoon has affected the lives of millions. Everyone knows I got the best fans in the world. The moment I heard about the tragedy a few weeks back, I knew I could count on you guys to make a difference. So I’m looking for you guys to help me help them,” he said.

“I want you guys to help me in the studio, give me some ideas. But first you guys have to give back. So please, please, help me help them,” Bieber said.

Based upon the description of the Prizeo page campaign, other rewards are based on the amount of donation. Rewards include a video message from Bieber, a campaign bracelet or t-shirt, a digitally signed poster, a signed photo or lyric sheet from the singer, and VIP tickets to the premiere of his upcoming movie, to name a few. Rewarded donations range from $10 to $7,500.
