The Filipino-American singer Ellona Santiago made it to the Top 6 of The X-Factor USA, after her remarkable performance on November 29 (Manila Time). The 17-year-old Santiago performed the song “Mamma Know’s Best.”

Ellona Santiago will join the Top 6 contestants which include Carlito Olivero, Alex and Sierrra, Restless Road, Jeff Gutt and Rion Paige.
After the performance of Ellona Santiago, judges Rubio and Cowell shared a laugh when the Filipino-American stole the night with her stunning performance of the song popularized by Jessie J.
Last week Simon Cowell called Ellona as a “dancing, singing puppet.” On her performance before making it to the Top 6, Rubio was quoted as saying, “You are more than a muppet,” Rubio said. Simon Cowell then laughed “I didn’t say muppet, I said puppet,” Cowell laugh, before saying, “Ellona, that is what we call a game-changer. You may now have a chance now of winning this whole show.” Cowell stated.
The scene of Ellona’s giving special thanks to their loved ones touched everyone watching The X-Factor USA, Santiago’s tribute to her sister Julie Rose, who’s battling stage 4 cancer is one of the most memorable moments in a contestant’s life.
Ellona was quoted as saying “I want to send out my love to your sister,” he said, addressing Julie Rose, who was in the audience to see her sister’s standout performance.
