Mommy Dionesia, the mother of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao expressed his disappointment with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) after the bank accounts of her son were garnished. Mommy D was interviewed by ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda on Wednesday, November 27, 2013.

According to Mommy Dionesia she felt bad that the BIR would garnished Manny Pacquiao’s (–foul word(s) removed–)ets in relation to the P2.2 billion tax case filed to Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao.
Mommy D. was quoted as saying during the interview, “Bakit ganyan ang nangyari? Tumingin ako sa TV kahapon, umiiyak ako. Kawawa naman ang anak ko. Lumaban siya, nabawi na niya ang pagkatalo, siya pa ang nagbigay ng karangalan ng Pilipinas, bakit ginulo pa sa mga BIR?” she asked.
The mother of Manny Pacquiao, Mommy D, believes that freezing her son’s bank accounts is unfair because his money was not stolen from the government. Mommy D. was quoted as saying “Ang pera na itinago ni Manny sa bangko, hindi niya ninakaw. Kita niya ito sa pagbo-boxing, pawis at dugo para makaipon ng pera. Hindi pero ng gobyerno ang ninakaw niya. Bakit ganyan ang nangyari?” she said.
Mommy D adds further that “Kayang kaya niyang tinalo ang kalaban niya pero dito sa patakaran ng BIR, grabe naman ang ginagawa nila. Wala naman siyang hindi binabayaran. Binabayaran naman niya.” Mommy D stated.
The Filipino boxing icon confirmed on Tuesday, that his bank accounts have been frozen, which forced him to borrow money for the financial aid he promised to typhoon survivors in the Visayas.
