Miss Ali Forbes of the Philippines won as third runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Grand International held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 19, 2013. For a total of 75 contestants only 5 finalist advance to the final round, the Question and Answer portion.
During the announcement of the Top 20 contestants, Miss Philippines was the last to be called, the same situation happened during the announcement of Ariella Arida’s inclusion in the Top 20 of the Miss Universe 2013.
The Top 5 contestants of the Miss Grand International includes Miss Philippines Ali Forbes, Miss Dominican Republic Chantel Martinez, Miss Puerto Rico Janelee Chaparro, Miss Slovak Republic Denisa Paseciakova and Miss Australia Kelly Louise Maguire.
The answers made by Ali Forbes became a hot topic online especially with her use of the word “donator” during the highly-anticipated Question and Answer portion of the Miss Grand International 2013.
The Miss Grand Interanational 2013 crown was awarded to Miss Puerto Rico, Janelle Chaparo. As a winner of this year’s pageant she is going to have a new residence at The Tower in Midtown area of Bangkok, Thailand and will stay there during her entire reign. She will be organization’s amb(–foul word(s) removed–)ador in “promoting peace and harmony, and to end all global conflict in all parts of the world.
