Standing 5’9 in height, Constanza Baez will represent Ecuador in Miss Universe 2013 pageant this coming November 9 in Crocus City Hall Moscow, Russia.
22-year-old Constanza was born in Quinto, Ecuador and raised in Guayaquil. Constanza fostered her love for sports, nutrition and education.
Constanza graduated with an economic degree from an Elite German University. She also participated in numerous philanthropic ventures, including a campaign she started to create awareness of the importance for blood donation in Ecuador.
Constanza Baez believe, “For me, health and nutrition are very important and I would love to share my p(–foul word(s) removed–)ion with others. It is important to me that people understand it is not about your weight, but about how healthy you feel.”
Fun facts about Miss Universe Ecuador 2013:
- Constanza’s mother competed in Miss Universe Ecuador in 1985 where she came in third, going on to represent Ecuador in an international pageant.
- Constanza has swam with a variety of underwater animals in the Galápagos Islands including sharks, sea lions, marine turtles and dolphins.
- Constanza co-hosted a television program called “Reto de Valientes” (an Ecuadorian version of Fear Factor), where she has grabbed snakes and ate worms!
