On Friday (October 25), the mythical creatures in a tale spanning realms of generations and Philippines’s hit TV series in 2013 Juan dela Cruz successfully ended its story, it also concluded with a familiar depiction of the Filipino every man in its superhero title character.
Juan dela Cruz as “Tagabantay” was portrayed by Coco Martin.” In the final episode the lead actor Coco trades in his iconic camisa de chino for a barong, as he marries the love of his life Rosario, played by Erich Gonzales.

The traditional wedding gathers their family and friends at the real life-Quiapo Church, with guest eating “kamayan” style at a festive reception.
As Juan in the series recalled his past life, he said that he never imagined himself to act as superhero, because he was just an ordinary boy in the streets of Quiapo. “Hindi ko kailanman naisip magiging isa akong superhero. Ang alam ko lang, paulit-ulit kong pinipili ang mabuti, gaano man kahirap ito.”
He added “Sabi nga ni Padre Cito, hindi mahalaga kung ano ang pinagmulan mo, o kung ano ang pinagdaanan mo. Sa huli, ikaw ang magsasabi kung magiging sino ka. Bawat isa sa atin, kayang gawin ‘yon.”
The story itself brought a lot of moral values to Filipino people that says anyone deserves to become a hero of his own and man do have an options whether he chooses to be good or evil.
It is also about love, courage and sacrifices that you can offer to your love ones.
