Gwendoline Ruais, the 2011 Miss World Runner-up will be the web presenter for the 2013 Miss World pageant currently held in Indonesia. She arrived two days ahead of the international delegates that arrived on September 3, in Indonesia.
The 5-foot-11 model Gwendoline is expected to cover the preliminary competitions and the delegates’ other official activities. According to Gwendolyn she was personally invited by Miss World owner Julia Morley who came to the Philippines early this year for the Chinese New Year celebrations. Julia Morley liked Gwendoline for she speaks English and French.
The 23-year-old Filipina-French model revealed that Julia Morley had been following her career, she did not tell anyone that she was chosen as web presenter in the 2013 Miss World until the official announcement came out on the pageant’s website.
Aside from Gwendoline Ruais from the Philippines, the members of the web team are 2011 Miss World semifinalist Jennifer Reoch from Scotland, and reigning Mister World Francisco Escobar from Colombia.
The Filipina beauty invited fans of Miss World around the globe to send their questions for specific delegates through her official Twitter account. She will also post updates on her official Instagram account. The official web updates will be posted on Miss World’s YouTube Channel and various social media accounts.
