The import of the Meralco Bolts, Mario West, exploded with 47 points and spoiled the return of the Gilas players to the Talk ‘N Text line-up ending the game with the final score at 92-86, in Friday’s Governors Cup games at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Mario West outdueled Talk ‘N Text import Tony Mitchell who scored with 32 points. West was able to score 19 points in the fourth quarter to carry the Bolts back from a 10-point halftime deficit.
The Meralco Bolts started strong with taking a double-digit edge at the first quarter with 26-16 led but Talk ‘N Text rebounded in the second period and unleashed a 31-11 run.
Meralco import’s West took over the final period for the Bolts as he outscored the entire Talk ‘N Text squad with his 19 points contribution. Cliff Hodge added with 18 points for Meralco improving their win-loss record to 2-2 in the Governors Cup team standings.
Returning Gilas players Jayson Castro and Larry Fonacier finished with 18 and 11 points, respectively. But the third returnee Ranidel De Ocampo struggled with just two points after making just one of 10 shots.
