NBA superstar and former MVP Kobe Bryant arrived in Manila early Monday morning for the promotion of Lenovo Mobile phones in the Philippines. He will meet his fans during an event organized by the company.
The LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant arrived on board a chartered flight from Beijing, China at around 3:40 AM. He was met by John Rojo, business unit head of Open Communications, the exclusive distributor of Lenovo Mobile and organizer of “Walang Iwanan World Tour.”
Upon Bryant’s arrrival he was picked up by executives from Lenovo Philippines and whisked off in a van, the media was not allowed to cover Bryant’s arrival. Kobe Bryant was originally scheduled to attend an event at SM Mall of Asia Atrim at around 10:30 AM, Monday, but it was moved to 6: PM.
Kobe Bryant followed a long list of NBA players who have visited the Philippines for the past few months. Last July, LeBron James of Miami Heat visited the Philippines top promote Nike.
Tickets for Bryant’s tour were also given away for free to Lenovo smartphone users through an online promo. The tickets can be claimed on August 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay City.
Winners will have to present the text message sent to them upon registration on the Lenovo Mobile website, a valid ID and their Lenovo phone in order to redeem their tickets.
