The Philipines national basketball team Gilas Pilipinas will go up against Jordan tonight and according to coach Chot Reyes, the “real battle” for his squad will be against Jordan. Team Jordan was defeated by Chinese Taipei on their opening game but the team is one of the strongest contender in the Group A.
According to Reyes during the Gilas game against Saudi Arabia he managed the minutes of his players and used the game against Saudi Arabia as preparation for the true test against Jordan, the 2011 silver medalist.
Jordan is not the same team that compete during the last edition of the game because of the absence of phenomenal star Sam Daghles but the current Jordan squad can boast of their naturalized player Jimmy Baxter who topscored for Jordan with 30 points during his debut in FIBA Asia yesterday.
