The Saudi Arabia national men’s basketball team submitted their official line-up for the FIBA Asia 2013. The team will be the Philippines first match-up in the opening of Asia’s basketball extravaganza that will start tomorrow, August 1, 2013.
The Saudi national won just one of their three games during their tune-up matches in Africa. The team made a quarterfinal entry during the 23rd FIBA Asia Championship played in Qatar, the team is also looking for similar performance in the Philippines.
The Team Saudi will also field one of the youngest players in the competition, the 19-year-old Nasir Abojalas (pic. above) who stands 195-cm. He played the forward position and was instrumental for Team Saudi winning the silver medal at the 1st FIBA Asia 3X3 Championship. Aside from Abojalas, the team will also field one of their exciting player, Jaber Kabe. (pic. below)
Saudi Arabia who qualified for the 27th FIBA Asia Championship by finishing third at the 2012 GCC Championship are grouped alongside hosts Philippines, Chinese Taipei and Jordan in Group A of the Prelim Round competition.
