Fomer Indie Film actor, Coco Martin was named as the Actor of the Year in the Yahoo! OMG! Awards 2013 held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, July 19, 2013.
The awarding ceremony were attended by Philippines brightest stars from three major networks in the country. The 31-year-old Coco Martin played a major role as an actor for the year 2013, one of his major role this year is his portrayal of the newest superhero in the Philippines, Juan de la Cruz.

The Kapamilya actor came from a humble beginning as an Independent film actor venturing into the mainstream entertainment industry and garnered a super stardom status as he was featured in major primetime presentation of ABS-CBN and continued to dominate the ratings game for the Kapamilya Channel.
Coco Martin bested veteran Kapuso star Dingdong Dantes who came in second place in the Yahoo! OMG! pool, the two actors was followed by Kapamilya star John Lloyd Cruz, Kapuso actor, Dennis Trillo and Derek Ramsay of the Kapatid Network came in fifth place.
For the second time in a row, Coco Martin bagged the major award in the Yahoo! OMG! Award, he was also awarded with the same trophy last 2012.
The other artists who wins big in the annual OMG! Awards were Angel Locsin, Actress of the Year; Vic Sotto, Favorite Male TV Host of the Year; Toni Gonzaga, Favorite Female TV Host of the Year; and Vice Ganda, Comedian of the Year.
