According to POEA statistics, every year, there are more than a million Filipinos leave to work abroad, it is around 4,500 OFW’s seeking greener pastures everyday in different parts of the world.
POEA Data also shows that roughly 9.5 million to 12.5 million Filipinos are currently working or residing abroad which translates to 10-11% of the total Philippine population.
The Overseas Filipino Workers is considered as a major contributor’s to the Philippine economy with an estimated 9% of the country’s GDP. The data above is a living testament that OFW’s are major contributor’s in our country’s advancement as a nation.

As a former OFW myself, I have seen the sacrifices endured by most Filipinos who worked in order to support their families and make a decent income. The only problems with OFW’s is when the time that they wanted to be with their family and end their career as an OFW.
I want to share something that I think could help those who wanted to be with their family in the Philippines and earn a decent income although they are not sure of their future here in the country. It is really hard to find a decent job in the Philippines and earned as much as we earned while we were still working as an OFW.
For the past few years, I’ve been working as an OFW in KSA, I left the Philippines during the year 2005 and worked in a plastic factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia earning just $300 during my first 3 years, slowly went up the ranks but the highest salary I received reached $500 for a total of more than 6 years in service.
During the last month of the year 2011, I was convinced by my friend during college to invest in an online business and I grabbed the opportunity although quite unsure with what the future hold, when I no longer work as an OFW. To be honest I don’t have any background with any online business or any computer-related topics.
Only the determination and the guidance of my friend who put me on the right track to start our online business made me decide that it is the right time quit my job as an OFW and invest my time on how to earn online with the use of the internet. Earning more than P80,000 a month might not be realistic to some Filipinos but for those who believe in the power of the internet, this is just one of the proof.
I am a former OFW who currently earned a decent living online at the comfort of my home. Together with my mentor we decided to put together every secrets and techniques we have use on various blogs to earned a living online and help my fellow OFW’s.
