Juan Miguel Zubiri is a Filipino politician who earned a monicker as “Mr. Clean Energy” for his achievement as an advocate of clean energy. He worked for the p(–foul word(s) removed–)aage of RA 9513 or the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 and RA 9367 or the Biofuels Act of 2006.
During his term as a representative he represented the third district of Bukidnon for three consecutive terms. He was also the Senate of the Philippines Majority Leader, the youngest to held the the position since the First Congress.
He resigned on August 3, 2011 following allegations of poll fraud. The 43-year-old Juan Miguel Zubiri is again running for senator under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
Sen. Migz is the principal author and sponsor of more than 20 major laws, both in the Senate and during his stint as Congressman. The former Senator Zubiri, got a surprised endorsement from one of the most prolific legislator in the country, Senator Mirriam Defensor-Santiago.
