It’s official and confirmed, Apl.de.ap will be the fourth judge joining the Philippine edition of the reality singing contest, “The Voice,” as coach. The Black Eyed Peas member confirmed through ABS-CBN.com that he has already signed a deal with the Kapamilya network.
The confirmation was made by TV Production Entertainment Head Laurenti Dyogi who was quoted as saying that “I am pleased to inform you that I got this morning the soft copy of the signed contract of Apl! He’s leaving for Europe today and will be in London [within the month]. Will arrange for TFC London to shoot his OCI (on cam interview) for the plug,” Laurenti Dyogi stated.
The 38-year-old Filipino-American rapper will be arriving in the Philippines next month to join the rest of the “The Voice of the Philippines” team.
Apl.de-ap will join the star-studded cast featuring Tony Award winner Lea Salonga, singer-actress Sarah Geronimo and former Rivermaya and Bamboo frontman Francisco “Bambbo” Mañalac.
The show will be hosted by Toni Gonzaga, the show is currently holding auditions in time for its premiere telecast later this year on the Kapamilya Channel.
