The Philippines will experience a preseason game featuring two of the National Baskeball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation’s popular teams, the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets.
The Pacers and the Rockets are set to playin the first NBA preseason match according to Commissioner David Stern through a video message on Tuesday. The match will be held this coming October 10, 2013 at the SM MOA.
The exhibition match was one of the primary projects of SM Group who were working on since the last time that a complete NBA Team visited the country was held last 1979 featuring the Washington Bullets.
The basketball-crazy Filipinos have been longing for an NBA team to play in the Philippines although last 2011, the Philippines hosted the NBA Superstars featuring Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, and Chris Paul.
The scheduled NBA games in the Philippines was made after one of SM’s top honcho Hans Sy invited by Commissioner Stern during the All Star Game, Hans Sy then told that commissioner that the Philippines has a suitable venue for an NBA Game.
