Collection of Graduation Fees Hotline Launched by AkapBata

The AkapBata Party-list group launched a hotline urging the public to report public elementary and high school officials who are collecting graduation fees from their students.

They urged parents and students to report their complaints to their hotline number (02) 437831. The group through their national secretary-general Arlene Brosas stated that they would accept calls from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Sunday.

Aside from the hotline number, they also announced that complainants can send an e-mail to Akap Bata at [email protected]. They can be reach also through their official Akap Bata Facebook Account.

Reports can be send also to their official Twitter account @akapbata using the hashtag #GradFeeMonitor.

The Department of Education (DepEd) prohibits the collection of graduation fees or any kind of contribution from students, as well as the holding of extravagant rites that require special attire and extraordinary venue.
