Jamyla Domingo Lambunao will represent the Philippines in the upcoming 2012 World “Olympic” Memory Championships to be held in Lilian Bayles Technology School in London, United Kingdom.
The competition will be held this coming December 14-15, 2012. The Filipino dominated the 2012 Thailand International Open Memory Championship in Bangkok, Thailand last July 7, 2012.
The 11-year-old student from the St. Scholastica Academy’s  topped the Binary Digits and Speed Card events in Thailand meet.
Lambunao now aims to become the youngest Grand Master of Memory, this current record was held a Chinese player who became a GM at the age of 13.
The young Lambunao, was already being touted by local memory athletes as the country’s ‘youngest GM of Memory.’
Jamyla Domingo Lambunao was the daughter of Engr. Jimmy Lambunao who is hands-on and very supportive of his daughter’s interests.
The student practice her memory training through the advice of Coach Robert Racasa, who was a member of the PH Memory Team.
Racasa finished second on team competition in the 2011 World Championships.
