The Philippine Team, Smart Gilas 2.0 will try it’s luck to capture the much-coveted title of the 34th Jones Cup as they will face today the fancied US Basketball squad for the last game of the Nationals and a rare chance of capturing the title.
Smart Gilas is now secured of a silver medal finish in the single round-robin competition wherein the winner will be declared depending upon their number of wins and there’s no finals. The game between Smart Gilas and US is considered to be the final match for both team were at the highest standings although the US was defeated also by Lebanon yesterday.
US Team will be tied with the Philippines if they win against the Philippines, the US is currently at 5-2 win-loss card.
