The 22-year-old Afghan fled her country Afghanistan when she was only 18-years-old and because of her actions she was sentenced by her close family members. Her nose was hacked off and her ears were mutilated only hidden by her dark hair when she fled her country.

According to Aesha when Aesha was 12, her father promised her in marriage to a Taliban fighter to pay a debt.
