The Philippine Azkals versus North Korea game will be aired live through the facilities of ABS-CBN’s Studio 23 this coming March 9, 2012 at around 4:30 PM and will kick-off at 5:15 PM.
The Philippine National Football Team more popularly known as the Philippine Azkals belonged to the strongest group of the tournament with former Champions Tajikistan, India and defending champion North Korea.
North Korea will be the first (–foul word(s) removed–)ignment of the Azkals followed by India and they will end the elimination round playing with Tajikistan before moving on to the next round if they could survived against its rivals.
Foreign-based players of the Azkals have already join their team in Nepal. The Filipino-Dutch Pual Mulders have already arrived while Fulham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is currently on the way to Nepal from a stop-over in Qatar according to his last tweets.
The North Korean will try to defend their title against the Philippines, India and Tajikistan. North Korea is also considered as the unofficial football world champion after they beat title-holder Japan last November.
The North Koreans wanted to rebound from their failed attempts to make it to the Finals of the 2014 World Cup. North Koreans have already made it to the World Cup two times including the last edition wherein they eliminated Saudi Arabia for the Asian slot.
