Filipino-American ace pitcher Tim Lincecum asked his team, the San Francisco Giants for a record-breaking $21.5 Million Salary for 2012. The two-time Cy Young Awardee received $13 Million salary last year.

Tim Lincecum could probably shatter the record made by Derek Jetter at $18.5 million. San Francisco Giants management stated that  $17 million was more of a fair figure.

San Francisco Giants and Tim Lincecum would likely settle for the exact amount before the deadline for the arbitration hearing set to schedule this coming February.

Last year the two parties had settle for a comfortable decision for both parties. The first time when Tim was eligible both parties settled on a two-year, $21 million deal in 2010, just minutes before the arbitrator showed up to hear their cases.

The deal between the San Francisco Giants and Tim Lincecum seems to repeat itself. If the Giants could save Lincecum for another year, Lincecum will probably hit as a free agent for the coming year 2013.

Tim Lincecum was considered as the most popular player in the Major League Baseball. He was nicknamed as the “Freak” because he throws with his right hand and bats with his left hand. He was born with a Filipina mother. His real name is Timothy Leroy Lincecum.

The Filipino American Tim Lincecum stands at 5 foot 11 inches. He was a recipient of 2008 and 2009 Cy Young Awards. He made the Filipinos proud not only in the United States but the world as a whole by being proud of having a Filipino blood.
