Forbes Magazine listed the Philippines as one of the world’s friendliest countries according to the news report published last January 6, 2012. The research survey was conducted by HSBC involving expats that were living in different parts of the world.

The survey conducted by one of the world’s most prominent companies HSBC which ranked each countries according to the categories set by the company.

The survey was part of HSBC’s Expat Explorer Survey which was released last month. Topping the list were New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

The survey had listed also the least friendliest countries in the world which put the second most populous country in the world India as the least friendliest countries in the world and more countries were situated in the Middle East with Saudi Arabia leading the list.

According to the survey one of the factors that really affects the ranking was the ability of the people to communicate with the expats in which the Philippines had the advantage. Other factors were the security and economic stability of the country.

There are only two Asian countries managed to be ranked at the top 10 with the Philippines at number 8 and Malaysia at number 10. Although Turkey which ranked at number 7 can be found in the continent of Asia but there affiliations belongs to Europe.

The Philippines is considered as one of the friendliest countries in the world because of some reasons that put them on the list. Philippines have a lower standard of living which is good for expats and Philippines’ literacy rate is one of the factor.

Philippines is even considered as the third largest English speaking countries in the world. United States is the largest English speaking countries in the world followed by the United Kingdom.
