Finally after weeks of speculation, it is now confirmed that the mega star Sharon Cuneta will be transferring network from ABS-CBN to TV5.
Afternoon of November 22, Sharon Cuneta went to the TV5 building where she was warmly welcomed by the employees and staffs of “Kapatid” network.
The singer-actress expressed her mixed emotions in her first time being in the TV5 office which is located at the Marajo Tower sa Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
According to reports, the mega star has signed a five year contract to the Kapatid network where she will be having a daily show, a reality show and a movie.
Present in the contract signing were the big bosses of TV5 including TV5 president and CEO Atty. Ray Espinosa, chief operating officer Robert Barreiro and the managers of Sharon which are Sandra Chavez at Vic del Rosario.
It was noticed by the press that the chairman of TV5 network, Manny Pangilinan was not present in the contract signing. When she was asked regarding the matter, Cuneta replied that supposed to be Boss Manny was there but added that there was already too many Pangilinans in the scene.
Regarding the allegation that Cuneta transferred to TV5 due to a 1 billion talent fee offer, Sharon did not make any confirmation about it instead when she was asked, she only replied a smile to the press.
Sharon Cuneta has been a loyal Kapamilya talent for many years but this decision of the mega star has put an end in her loyalty to the ABS-CBN Network.
