Bogus news story as the result of the hacking

Thousands of information from the people that was been stored in The Sun website were currently at risk after the hacking incident in July 19.

Alleged group who were eyed to be responsible for the hacking incident were the LulzSec who happened to be have hacked the mentioned website on that same date through posting a bogus news story. However, up to this time, there was no confirmation expressed from the group whose Twitter account was silent since July 28 upon the arrest of the suspected spokesman named Topiary.

The information that was stolen included those of 2010 Miss Scotland applicant. It was composed of names, addresses, birth dates, e-mail addresses and even phone numbers.

News Group, Sun’s publisher had confirmed the said breach.

To protect and to insure the security of the people who had registered in Sun’s Website, they were now reaching the people who were possibly affected.

Furthermore, the parent company of News Group which was News International had expressed that they were looking forward to resolve the breach.

From their issued statement, they said, “We take customer data extremely seriously and are working with the relevant authorities to resolve this matter.”

In connection to the hacking incident, in the website of Pastebin, there were posted data composed of the names and numbers of fourteen (14) Miss Scotland 2010 aspirants.

This recent hacking only revealed that the hackers were still active in their attempts to steal various information in their target.

To recall, Lulz Security or Lulz Sec hacked Sun website on July 19 through posting a bogus news story telling Rupert Murdoch’s death. This was one of the activities they had conducted after they had announced that they were to take separate ways.

They had mentioned that the reason of disbanding was not about their fear to be captured by the authority; however, they were bored with themselves.
