UFC fight fans, here we go. This is not a déjà vu of UFC 73 but a week from today Rashad Evan
and Tito Ortiz will once again collide at UFC 133. Folks, mark your calendar, August 6, 2011, 9PM ET, Sunday 8AM Philippine time.
The last encountered between the two happened during UFC 73: Stacked on July 7, 2007 at Sacramento, California. Despite of Ortiz one point deduction due to excessive holding on the fence, the fight has ended in a unanimous draw.
Rashad Evans aka Suga is 31 years of age, 5’11” and possesses great takedown and takedown defense. He has a record of 20 wins, 1 loss and a draw. While Tito Ortiz, the Huntington Beach Bad Boy is 36, 6’3” and with the MMA record of 17-8-1 (W-L-D). Ortiz is a good wrestler with great conditioning and vicious ground and pound.
There’s no love lost between the two former UFC Light Heavyweight champions. Pre-fight interviews are getting more intense as series of trash and sweet nothings are being thrown by both parties.
“This time I’m gonna finish the deal”, Tito Ortiz said during the pre-fight interview on July 27, 2011.
Another interesting match to watch is the fight between Vitor Belfort vs Yoshihiro Akiyama. It’s a highly anticipated battle between Brazilian with great boxing skills and jiu-jitsu expert with explosive striking against Japanese Judo, submissions expert and with great knockout power.
