Two Bullet Trains Collide in Eastern China claiming 35 Lives

Rescuers pull out victims when two bullet train collided in Eastern China.

Collision between two high-speed bullet trains in Zhejiang province of eastern China took away lives of 35 people while injuring almost 200 individuals on Saturday.

Reporters released a statement saying that the collision in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang happened when lighting had strike a bullet train affecting its electrical power source causing it to stop.

Meanwhile, there was this other bullet train noted to travel on the same direction. But it bumped from the first bullet train since it was found stagnant on the track when the lightning had hit.

Some cars ended falling from the bridge. There were 6 cars reported to have been derailed in the two bullet trains. Some of the cars came from Beijing and Hangzhou. Reports were according to China’s local radio station.

Rescuers immediately responded to the scene as they have to break some of the windows to pull out the injured victims.

Some reports said that there were 190 wounded individuals. However, authorities as of now could not declare the exact number of injuries since the rescue is still on-going and some of the cars have been seriously damaged.

As of this moment, officials still find it difficult to determine the exact travel speed of the train before it had reached the spot where it crashed.

Further reports tell that there were at least 1,300 p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers who have been inside the train which was known to be the DongChe Express.
